The booklet isn't the best about this. I have had a little trouble understanding how to set the alarm systems. I would also be nice if it had the weather band. Best radio I have ever owned. Good sound quality and easy to use. But, I still like the radio.
music etc. out of the box - a couple of rechargable batteries plug it in and zap your up and running bought for AM talk shows works great. great also.
But the reason I purchased it was for an AM radio at my office. Looked cool. However, the AM radio was terrible at work, at home, everywhere.
The clock time is a little difficult to read from a distance, could be larger and brighter. Have not tried it with batteries yet because we have space near an outlet in both rooms. Needed a small radio with good reception for the bathroom and kitchen. This radio has very good reception without static interference. It is a pleasure to listen to without all the static and the tuning is great.
Some static I guess is not unavoidable, but better than others we have tried. At last an excellent portable radio. My wife's product and she uses it everyday.
